The ingredients in our detergent are some of the best to get clothes clean. Safe to use in HE machines.
The ingredients: Borax, Baking Soda, Washing Soda, Zote soap flakes*, Oxiclean. The containers offered will vary in size, but each will come with at least one gel silica packet to absorb moisture and prevent clumping AND a tablespoon.
We’ve used three tablespoons for years, but recent Internet research has said two might be sufficient, especially if you have a HE washer. If your laundry load is extra dirty, use three.

*The original recipe calls for FelsNaptha soap bars, but my hands have a difficult task in grating that hard bar, so we’ve switched to Zote.
